Tours - Cherry Blossom Festival
Most often referring to cherry blossoms, the Cherry Blossom or Hanami Festival is celebrating the traditional Japanese custom of observing the beauty of flowers. Starting towards the end of March until the beginning of May, cherry blossoms, as well as plum trees are in blossom all around the country. The Hanami festival is intrinsically connected to the Flowering forecast of each year, as when the annual blossom forecast is announced, the Hanami is then planned accordingly.
Outdoor parties will occur underneath the vibrantly pink cherry blossom trees, where people will gather together and enjoy the seasonal delicacies while enjoying the beauty of cherry blossom. Celebrations can take place all day long, even after the sunset. These evening parties are uniquely beautiful and are referred to as Yozakura or “night cherry blossom”, and it offers a different perspective - an ethereal glow, of cherry blossom with illumination.
