About Hiroshima

About Kintaikyo bridge
This bridge is one of the three most excellent/oldest bridges of Japan, ranked together with the Uji-bashi bridge and the Yamasaki-bashi bridge. Kintaikyo bridge is also famous for the wooden bridge. The construction of this bridge is very unique and original. It has been designated as a national scenic spot in 1922.
About Miyajima
Alongside Matsushima and Amanohashidate, this place is known as one of the Japan's best scenic spots.
Itsukushima shrine
Itsukushima Shrine, which was built up to the current form by Taira-no-Kiyomori in the 12th century.
The location of this shrine is very unique with the great red gate called "Torii" in the ocean.
You will be amazed the beauty of the contrast between blue ocean and red gate. When it comes to low tide, you can get close to this gate by walking seabed. This shrine was listed as a world heritage site in 1996.
Miyajima ropeway

You can go up to the highest mountain in Miyajima with ropeway. 360° panoramic view is spectacular.
Also, there is Reika-do eternal fire hall at the top of this mountain. The fire of this hall continues to fire for about 1200 years.
This fire was used to light the flame of peace in the Hiroshima peace memorial park.
History of peace memorial park
This peace memorial park is located in the center of Hiroshima and was built with great feeling to avoid repeating the disaster suffered by the atomic bomb. Silent prayer is devoted on every August 6th at 8:15AM in this park.
