NIKKO AND NASU HIKING
The 7-day Nikko and Nasu hiking tour starts in Asakusa, Tokyo, with a bullet train ride to Nikko. Explore Toshogu Shrine and Rinnoji Temple before heading to Lake Chuzenji for a 5-hour hike and overnight stay. Day 3 features Oku-Nikko's hot springs, wetlands, waterfalls, and scenic lakes. Travel to Utsunomiya on Day 4 and visit a tatami store, enjoy soba making/Ayu fishing, and see a quarry ruin. Hike Mount Nasu and visit a secret hot spring on Day 5, then trek to Sanbonyari Peak and Asahi Peak on Day 6. The tour ends in Tokyo after exploring Nikko's historical nature.

DAY 1: NIKKO ARRIVAL
The exciting hiking tour will start at Asakusa Station. Embark on a bullet train to Nikko. Upon arrival, leave your luggage at the accommodation before heading out to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Toshogu Shrine and Nikko's most important temple - Rinnoji. Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of this amazing town.
DAY 2: LAKE CHUZENJI
Today you will travel to Lake Chuzenji for a 5-hour hiking tour around this astonishing region. Lake Chuzenji was formed by the eruption of Mount Nantai and used to be a training place for Japanese monks. Nowadays, the lake has become one of the most famous sightseeing spots in Japan. There will be a lunch break for you to enjoy the picturesque landscapes before finishing the tour. Enjoy your stay at the accommodation with a spectacular view of Nikko.
DAY 3: OKU-NIKKO
Fuel up with a good breakfast and prepare for the hiking experience ahead. Discover the Oku-Nikko region on foot. This region is located in the northwestern part of Nikko in western Tochigi, and it is a part of Nikko National Park. Visit a local hot spring area for your lunch. Explore beautiful vast wetlands, and stand astounded by a picturesque waterfall, and the scenic lake before going back.
DAY 4: NIKKO - UTSUNOMIYA
Wake up to a tasty breakfast and embark on a private vehicle to travel to Utsunomiya City. Upon arrival, visit a long-established tatami store with a history of over 100 years to observe the tatami-making process. In the afternoon, enjoy the soba-making experience or the Ayu fishing experience, depending on the season. Finish the tour with a visit to a local quarry ruins.
DAY 5: MOUNT NASU
Enjoy your delicious breakfast and prepare for an adventure ahead. Today we will hike Mount Nasu, and follow hiking trails in the forests further up the mountain that offer nice views out over the trees. During your journey in Nasu, visit a secret hot spring bath. Then continue trekking to the mountain hut.
DAY 6: MOUNT NASU
Wake up to a hearty breakfast. Today we will go hiking towards Sanbonyari Peak and Asahi Peak, two out of five Nasu major peaks. Continue your trekking experience until we reach Shika no Yu - a beautiful, traditional bath house with gender-segregated, wooden indoor baths.
DAY 7: NIKKO DEPARTURE
After having a wonderful time in Nikko's historical nature, we will head back to Tokyo - the modern side of Japan. The tour ends at Tokyo Station.
