Upon arrival, your pre-booked taxi is waiting to take you to your accommodation in Hakuba. Hakuba is at the heart of the Japanese Alps. This village is Japan's most popular ski area, offering pristine snow conditions with outstanding natural beauty. "Hakuba Valley Ticket" is introduced by nine major Hakuba ski resorts, which gives ski lovers access to those grand snow resorts. From the seasoned alpine expert to freshly minted newbies, there is a snowy adventure to be had by everyone. Achieve your own Olympic Dream by sliding down the Hakuba Happo-one Snow Resort, which hosted the most important events of the 1998 Winter Olympics. You can also choose the more challenging Hakuba Goryu Snow Resort & Hakuba47 Winter Sports Park, which targets intermediate and advanced skiers.
In addition to the aforementioned resorts, the following can also be accessed with Hakuba Valley Ticket: Jiigatake Snow Resort, Kashimayari Snow Resort, Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field, Tsugaike Kogen Snow Resort, Hakuba Norikura Onsen Snow Resort, and Hakuba Cortina Snow Resort. After a day of skiing, indulge yourself by relaxing at one of Hakuba's numerous onsen, or natural hot springs.

DAY 5: HAKUBA
Today you will continue the pleasure of discovering all the best that skiing in Hakuba has to offer or take a break from the slopes to enjoy one of the following highly recommended day excursions:
Jigokudani Monkey Park Excursion: Enjoy the exclusive experience of seeing wild monkeys bathing in the park's natural hot spring. Jigokudani means ‘hell's valleys' due to the steam and boiling water that bubbles out of small crevices in the frozen ground, and it is in these baths of boiling water that the resident Japanese Macaques like to soak in. The monkeys live in large social groups, and it can be quite entertaining to watch their interactions. They are highly accustomed to human observers, so you can get as close to them as you feel comfortable. Whilst the monkeys are most numerous during the cold months, they can be observed all year round.
Matsumoto Excursion: Matsumoto has flourished as a castle town since the 16th century. Today you will visit Matsumoto Castle, also known as “Crow Castle because of its black walls and spreading wings, one of the most complete and beautiful among Japan's original castles. It is a shining example of the so-called "hirajiro" castles of Japan, which are built on plains rather than on a hill or mountain.

DAY 6: TOKYO DEPARTURE
Today you will leave Hakuba behind and return to Tokyo. A transfer by train to Narita Airport is included and, if requested, we can also arrange for you an extra night in Tokyo.
